Project One
House Marketplace
A house marketplace system allows a user to create an account, make a listing to rent or sell their property, or to contact a landlord about a property listed.
Technologies used were React for the frontend client, and Firebase for the server backend and database.
Project Two
V-Rod Parts NZ
A fully fledged E-commerce store. I’ve designed, built, and currently managing day-to-day maintenance, analytics, & recommendations for V-Rod Parts NZ. This was built for my father-in-laws retirement hobby and while he runs the day-day operations of the business I handle everything digital. Technologies used were HTML, CSS, Wordpress, Hostgator (Hosting service), Google Search Console (SEO), and Google Analytics.
Project Three
Amy's Flowers
A florist located in Hamilton, NZ that I helped increase revenue from 1.2m to over 3.5m within 12 months.
The strategy was simple yet effective. For every town they delivered to (and in some instances, suburbs of larger cities), a landing page was created to ensure users landed on a page that directly related to what they searched. I created digital campaigns in Google Search, Display, and Google Shopping and ensured each users intent matched the appropriate landing page.
The landing pages all followed the same structure of town location, product choices, and social credibility and directed people to the same section of the site where users could make an online purchase. Examples of just a few pages I created are below (there were well over 25 in total) Tauranga, Rotorua, and Matamata
Project Four
Wiri Trust
A charity site that was completed through a sponsorship at my previous employment through an internship. Technologies used were a custom in-house CMS built by Website Angels, HTML , CSS, and Photoshop for image optimizations.
While not the most technically complicated site, it remains special to me as it was my first complete website I built from scratch in 2019.
About Me
I’m a 30 year old kiwi who has recently relocated to Australia and am extremely passionate about all things digital.
I have been involved in digital marketing for the last 7 years; however, my interest has shifted towards web development since 2017. I have owned my own business (E-commerce) as well as worked within an agency so team work and collaboration has become second nature to me.
As my curiousity for web developemt grew stronger, I made the decision to commit to it and completed a degree in Computer Science which I finished in 2019. Following that, I combined my knowledge in marketing and development to build amazing websites for clients in a local agency with user experience in mind. More recently, I have began expanding my knowledge in frameworks such as React and Gatsby, and absolutely love the way you can build websites through these modern frameworks and am looking to pursue this area of development further.
